Country Breadsticks

  • half stick/ one fourth cup of butter
  • 1 cup of self-rising flour
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • one third cup of buttermilk

Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Melt butter in 9x9 inch pan. Mix flour and sugar, add buttermilk. Mix until well-combined and sticky. Place dough on floured surface knead slightly. Roll out until half an inch thick. Cut out and place in pan, roll in melted butter. Poppy seeds are optional. Bake 15 minutes or until slightly brown. These are great with spaghetti!
